We were originally going to do St. Mary's Glacier but we decided to head back and do Chief Mountain










Then a little reward of drinks and buffalo chicken nachos at Westbound and Down in Idaho Springs.

It was a hot dry day when we decided to hike Lookout Mountain which is only 30ish minutes to the west of downtown Denver. We loaded up on water and snacks and started off at the lookout area. We then hit the real trail and had some welcome shade for awhile. After awhile of forest the trail opened up to some great views and some hot sun! It was a hot dry day when we decided to hike Lookout Mountain which is only 30ish minutes to the west of downtown Denver. We loaded up on water and snacks and started off at the lookout area. After awhile of forest the trail opened up to some great views and some hot sun!   We ended up at the trailhead for Windy Saddle Park We then turned around and  headed back to the car.
